transitions is an attempt to refine our gaze towards in between. Towards that which is glimpsed, towards the passage from one state to another, from one instant to another, but also towards that which is between the form and the absence of form, towards that which passes through and nourishes it.
These works invite us to take a journey through a world of water, lakes and ponds, lotuses and water lilies, where water and ink spread and merge with light and space, creating evasive atmospheres. The inks and colors become transparent, the tones soften, the silence also finds its place.
Landscapes and atmosphere. Images full of water, in which natural elements merge with space.
Limits vanish, the full and the empty intertwine imbued with possible forms.
Emotional states which evoke rhythms, atmospheric spaces and light are transformed into an organic flow that inspires shapes.
on the way
Search for music through things, search for things through music.
Glimpses, rhythms traversing forms, dispersed cadences on paper.
within the paper
Through the folds of the paper, as if observing a wall in ruins, forms arise, appear or vanish as they go on creating worlds.
The expressive power of the stroke, understand its vivacity, its qualities and its integration in space has been a wonderful introduction to the aesthetic universe of Far East. Space, stroke and dynamism that participate in the drives of life.
Studies of master’s works.
To follow their strokes, their compositions, their feelings, by observing them closely or by being inspired in a more free way.
Drops, masses strokes. Formless rhythms which evoke landscapes, open or close spaces, trace impulses. More spontaneous works, in which the ink displays its ability to evoke.
Studies of natural elements and landscapes.
To live, feel and understand nature being part of it, being merged with it through the brush.
the imaginary of stones
This series of works arises from the landscapes evoked by some particular volcanic rocks, the Banyoles stones, in whose holes tends to grow moss. Watching them closely, we can see how shapes emerge slowly, until we feel the palpitating universe.
the trees dream
Landscapes that emerge through printing (rubbing) tree barks with ink on paper. Their fissures, their folds, their wounds are weaving spaces, forming images, hatching possibilities.
